Stunning freeform natural boulder touchstone sculptured from Rimu Pounamu. Sitting on a hand crafted recycled native wooden table. 

This has amazing presence and would certainly be a focal point where ever it is homed. Its hard not to go past it without touching the smooth rippled surface.

This  is approx 150kg Pounamu was unearthed in 1989 from the Seddon Terrace district near Hokitika, West Coast of the South Island; and was a loved piece in a private collection up till now.

Brownie Barlow spent many days carefully polishing the surface to bring it to its current lustre and beauty while preserving the natural shape of this very special Pounamu.

Pounamu or Greenstone is regarded as a stone sacred to the gods by the Māori of New Zealand. As a Taonga -meaning treasured, and it should be displayed with respect and pride. Pounamu is a gift from the heart.
