A symbol of the Ratana Church. The Morning Star above a Crescent Moon is of significant importance; as among other things it is a depiction of the Holy Trinity. This symbol was adopted by Ratana and became known as the ‘Whetumarama’.
Pounamu or Greenstone is regarded as a stone sacred to the gods by the Māori of New Zealand. As a Taonga -meaning treasured, and it should be worn with respect and pride. Pounamu is a gift from the heart.
